Overview

This position will be responsible for creating and developing new business opportunities for their assigned WAXIE location.  This position’s success will be measured by total number of new customer accounts added as well as total number of new account dollars.  This will be tracked and measured based on an annual assigned “target” or goal.  After initial market analysis is created a large portion of this job will be “inside sales” related.  Bonus potential based on level of new accounts the Business Solutions Specialist is able to secure.       

 

 

Essential Duties

  • Utilizing WAXIE’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM), AS400 Database, and a combination of other informational resources, perform annual market analysis to determine potential new business opportunities for WAXIE.
  • Analyze market analysis to determine overall market saturation, available vertical markets (healthcare, hospitality, education, etc.), new building construction projects within the San Diego area, etc.
  • Mine organizational information from social media sites and general “googling” to determine who key decision makers are within selected new business prospects.
  • Using outbound calling, emailing, and other “creative” forms of communication, develop and establish strong relationships with potential WAXIE customers to schedule onsite visits by WAXIE Sales Reps.
  • Follow qualification process to determine which new business opportunities are viable leads to then pass on to WAXIE Sales Reps.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager, Sales Managers, and Sales Reps on communicating and closing new business opportunities.
  • Manage overall distribution of “leads” and ensure appropriate tracking to determine which leads are converted to WAXIE customers and which are not. Develop process for evaluating and determining why leads do not become WAXIE customers. 
  • Prepare monthly reports to be reviewed and analyzed by Regional Sales Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree business administration, marketing, communication or related degree required. 
  • Inside Sales, Marketing, Recruiting, or related experience required.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized, and capable of handling rapidly-changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral). 
  • Experience with utilizing social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.) in a marketing or other business related capacity.
