    WAXIE is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to develop and implement strategic processes and workflows, analytics, database creation, and methodologies to support the end life planning and disposition of Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). 


    This position will assist other departments and Senior Leadership to improve efficiency and enhance visibility, cooperation, and performance of SKUs that have entered into the decline phase.


    The Supply Chain Analyst reports to the Director of Procurement and Programs Manager.


    We will consider candidates in Southern California who can commute to one of our three branches: Ontario, Santa Ana or San Diego.


    Compensation for this role starts at $65,000 + annually (depending upon experience) with opportunities for annual bonus incentives.

    Essential Duties

    • Manages the life cycle of slow/decline phase SKU’s to include phasing out inventory, working with vendors on returns, and liaison with General Managers on dead stock inventory.
    • Generate methods and means to promote sales on dead stock through promotional activities, e-commerce wholesalers, and eventual scrapping of inventory if needed.
    • Formulate management techniques such as defining goals and objectives, operational definitions, and data collection methods ensuring accuracy and content of data in order to provide ongoing KPI reports.
    • Conduct analysis, compile and produce reports and provide meaningful management information that informs decision making across the department.
    • Develop scorecards, dashboards, critical metrics, and exception reports to pinpoint opportunities for improvement. Lead efforts to successfully drive improvement projects to completion.
    • Ensure the efficient delivery of stakeholder requests for reports; assist with data management across the procurement systems.
    • Develop new reporting methods and tools, become more involved with the running and support of the Procurement systems as part of the team.
    • Work with Procurement, Marketing, and Local Management Team to conduct process improvement projects related to SKU life cycle planning resulting in both SKU consolidation and inventory reduction.
    • Analyze complex processes to support procurement areas by making decisions and conducting impact analysis and interpreting system documentation. Develop, maintain and monitor project plans and deliverables.
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and senior management, including presenting project deliverables to steering committees and project sponsors.


    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL etc)
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (i.e. Excel)
    • Process orientated, highly developed data manipulation and analytical skills
    • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
    • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Supply Chain
