    WAXIE’s Operations Manager is responsible for leading, nurturing, developing, and improving WAXIE’s overall operations at their designated location.  Reporting to a General Manager, the Operations Manager will lead a team of Warehouse, Customer Service, and Service Center, Inventory, Support Service employees. 

    Essential Duties

    • Provide leadership and management to operational staff within the following areas: Inventory Analyst, Service Center, Warehouse, Fleet and Customer Service.
    • Ensure support operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Select, train, develop, and motivate managers; evaluate performance and recommend salary actions to ensure a stable and competent organization.
    • Become the subject matter expert on various Aplus (WMS) applications so that you can educate your team on their daily tasks and help them understand the larger picture in order processing.
    • Manage throughput operations for your location by ensuring that each department is supporting the larger goal of order fulfillment.
    • Adhere to stated protocols for inventory accounting through daily cycle counts, accurate receiving and shipping operations.
    • Maintain adequate and accurate inventories and service levels.
    • Ensure a safe and healthy environment to minimize the company’s losses and liability and protect employee’s well-being.
    • Manage expenses to an operational budget. Review cost of goods to maximize profitability.
    • Provide logistical input in order to streamline the operation while improving efficiency.
    • Provide support and guidance to operational employees to ensure maintenance of positive morale and motivation.
    • Work with Sales Management in resolving any and all customer service/operational issues.
    • Responsible for equipment, vehicle and facility maintenance.
    • Approve credits for returns or pricing.
    • Establish and maintain proper level of staffing.
    • Other duties as assigned.



    • Prior Operational/Logistics Management experience preferably in a distribution and warehouse environment.
    • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Ability to manage, lead and interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Previous management experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service background with an emphasis on resolving customer issues and problem solving.
    • Previous AS400 (Aplus) or ERP experience is preferred.
    • Results-oriented driven with demonstrated success in leading a diverse group of warehouse and customer service personnel to accomplish daily goals.
      Ability to multi-task.
    • Strong ability to make quick, informed decisions.
    • Positive, self-motivated, with a team player attitude.
