Overview

Royal Corporation is a premier distributor of Janitorial/Sanitary Supplies and disposable foodservice & concession supplies servicing customers nationwide with distribution centers in CA, WI, TX and FL. We are seeking a highly self-motivated, dedicated and dependable individual based in our corporate office in Santa Fe Springs, CA to assist and support our accounting team.  Great opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge in accounting as appropriate training will be provided.

 

Royal is looking for an Accounting Assistant to support Accounting Department with various administrative duties as well as Accounts Payable responsibilities.

 

Job Hours:
• Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
• able to work overtime when necessary

 

Salary Range - $19.20/hr - $25/hr  DOE

Essential Duties

  • Process AP freight bills, resolving freight billing discrepancies with carriers
  • Work with internal customer service team for freight claims/payment from carriers
  • Prepare and submit claims for monthly vendor rebates
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal purchasing team to review and resolve claims denials
  • Assist with AP invoicing, matching, vouchering and discrepancies review and resolution
  • Code and record sales taxes payable
  • Reconcile employee expense reports and reimbursements
  • Assist with preparing monthend reports for CPA, generating sales reports
  • Assist AR team in customer setup, statements and invoices, payment applications
  • Assist in accounting/financial services related administrative functions

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting functions and basic understanding of accounting principles
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task
• Good written and verbal communication
• Focused and detailed oriented
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Resourceful and self starter
